Lad. Stroupežnický Memorial Plaque in Cerhonice

The segment from the 1942 Český zvukový týdeník Aktualita (Czech Aktualita Sound Newsreel) Issue No. 36 features celebrations on the 50th anniversary of the death of playwright and first dramaturge of the National Theatre Ladislav Stroupežnický in Cerhonice near Písek. A shot of the commemorative plaque unveiled in 1920 at the playwright's birthplace. Part of the celebrations is the performance of the production Our Furiants (Naši Furianti) in the Cerhonice village square by the South Bohemian Theatre acting company.
